System SMX-ILH

In-Line XRF Solutions for Solar PV Thickness and Composition Analysis

System SMX-ILH is designed to perform in-line, post-process measurements. It readily accommodates both flexible substrates (such as stainless steel and polyimide) and rigid substrates (such as glass), and allows for control of blanket or patterned films. An available thermal shield extends SMX-ILH operational range to approximately 300C.

There are two primary ILH system configurations available:
Integrated
and Remote.

SMX-ILH Integrated:  SMX-ILH console models (ILH/SA and ILH/DA) provide single (X) or dual (X-Y) axis positioning of the x-ray head. Measurements can be performed on stationary or moving substrates. An available Z-axis head drive enables you adjust on the fly for substrate height variations. (View diagram >>)

SMX-ILH console tools can be deployed off-line or near-line for full panel analysis, enabling measurements to be performed in an X-Y grid for process deposition analysis. SMX-ILH tools configured for off-line operation with the optional Panel Loading System are referred to as SMX-ILH/FPV (for "Full Panel View") models.

SMX-ILH Remote:  The remote SMX-ILH x-ray head is incorporated directly into your air-environment production line. The X-Ray Control Station (right) can be positioned adjacent to or remotely from the process; multiple Ethernet-linked ILH x-ray heads can be operated from a single station. Remote ILH tools are available in Static (fixed x-ray head) and Linear (moveable x-ray head) configurations. Linear ILH systems ideal for measuring gradients and profiles in film, or composition across your substrate. (View diagram >>)
